Remko Kraaijeveld is one of the leading food photographers in the Netherlands. He has been fascinated by food since the beginning of his career. The structure, the succulence and its graphic forms – food as visual poetry. His use of light, whether daylight or studio, is pure and simple. At the same time, it shows the complexity of his work, as there is nothing to hide from.
Remko sinks his teeth deep into his subject, never losing his personal signature. His rugged images have a less is more approach, allowing the food always to be the protagonist.
In recent years he also started to capture the people behind the food he photographs, resulting in a growing list of portrait photos.
He won numerous awards for many of his cookbooks and works for magazines, restaurants and advertising agencies all over the world.
